THE SOUL AND THE SALT

Today I want to reveal something ancient, something sacred, something powerful passed on to us by C.S. LEWIS. I thought this really interesting and perhaps you may too!
Did you know that a prophet once transformed an entire city’s destiny, that it still stands today, using something as simple as salt! And what’s more not only is it real, biblical, the secret still works today. Turning impossible situation into divine testimonies.
People have used this secret to receive long awaited breakthroughs, job offers, restored health, divine protection, finding soulmates, and even peace in the middle of chaos. Yet all they did was place their name in salt water and releasing a prayer of ACTIVATION.
So what is all this about? Around 9 BC the prophet Elisha was called to the city of Jericho because the city’s water was bad and the land was unproductive. The land could not produce food, fruit and the people believed this was not an environmental problem but as the result of a curse.
What did Elisha do? He asked for a new bowl, some salt and he poured the salt into the waters source declaring:
THUS SAITH THE LORD- I HAVE HEALED THESE WATERS, NEVER AGAIN WILL IT CAUSE DEATH OR MAKE THE LAND UNPRODUCTIVE (2ND KINGS 2:21)
From that moment on the water was healed, the curse was broken and to this very day the city of Jericho flourishes and the water is pure.
To understand why Elisha did this and what was so powerful about using salt we have to dig deeper.
In Leviticus 2:13 GOD gives a strange yet profound command to the Israelites. “Season all your grain offerings with salt, do not leave the salt of the Covenant with your GOD out of your grain offerings, add salt to all your offerings.”
Salt is Covenental. It is symbolic, it is a purifier, a preserver, and a connector to Divine Authority. It was not optional, salt was required in every offering because it offered preservation, purity and permanence. It symbolized a binding Covenant between mankind and GOD. Salt was used in solemn agreements and when people sealed a deal, they used salt much like we would use a handshake today.
When GOD told his people to include salt in their offerings He was saying: “When you come to me, come with a heart that preserves my Word, come with purity, come in Covenant.” Salt was GOD’S stamp, His Divine signature on every sacrifice.
Salt is not just a symbol. It is also active, it transforms whatever it touches, it kills bacteria, draws out toxins, purifies, heals. It is one of the oldest natural disinfectants known to mankind!
Jesus referenced salt many times. In Matthew 5:13 he told his followers “You are the salt of the earth.” Meaning that their lives are meant to preserve truth, purify the world and stop decay.
However he also issued a warning,: “But if the salt looses its saltiness how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything.” In other words if we lose our spiritual edge, purpose, our purity, then we forfeit our influence.
Salt then becomes a reminder of our identity, purpose and divine responsibility – the hidden science of salt and energy,
Bridging the ancient with the modern, science today confirms what spiritual wisdom has always known – salt changes energy. You are no doubt aware of the phrase, “like bad vibes or negative energy,” and whilst they might sound like new age concepts – scripture has long confirmed the existence of spiritual atmospheres. What affects our spiritual atmosphere? Our thoughts, our home, our relationships are all very real. Salt in both ancient and modern traditions has been used to clear energy, neutralize negativity and mark spiritual boundaries. Because energy at its core is vibration, and salt has a stabilizing frequency. It absorbs, it neutralizers, it grounds chaotic forces. When you combine salt with prayer, with faith, with the Word of GOD, you are engaging in a powerful act of spiritualness.
So let me share how to use this simple salt water prayer and I will guide you through this step by step. This is not a ritual – this is a prophetic act of faith. A way to partner with GOD with what He has already given us the tools to use: salt, prayer, and faith which is the key to unlock all. So next time you get stuck, remember you are a child of GOD – you are not powerless, you are not forgotten. Pick up the salt, speak the Word, and trust that Heaven is moving on your behalf, because salt is healing, it is Covenant, it is power!
STEP ONE: Gather your tools – a clean, clear glass symbolizing purity and intention. A small bowl of salt, any salt will do, pen and paper, clean water
STEP TWO: Write your full name on the piece of paper and as you do focus your thoughts on the areas of your life that feel blocked or stagnant – think about your relationships, your finances, your health, your spiritual life. This isn’t just a name, it is your identity. Your name holds spiritual power, it is how Heaven and Earth recognize you.
STEP THREE: Now fold your piece of paper and place it in the glass of water, and as you submerge your name see it as an act of surrender – you are placing yourself in GOD’S Hands, in His healing waters.
STEP FOUR: Now add a handful of salt, as you hold it remember this is a gift from GOD it represent preservation, purification and promise, as you pour it into the water speak the Prayer of Activation, they are words of faith.
PRAYER OF ACTIVATION:
Almighty GOD, Creator of Heaven and Earth, just as you healed the waters of Jericho through your prophet Elisha, ask you now to bless this water and salt. May every drop become a carrier of Your Presence, may every grain of salt preserve your promise, dissolve every obstacle in my life. Cleanse every curse, remove decay, let this be a symbol of my surrender and a testimony of power. I declare open doors, Divine Guidance and Spiritual Protection, just as salt purifies and preserves may my life be marked by Your favor, my heart filled with your peace and my path lit by your wisdom. Thank you, Father, for hearing me. I trust You, I honor You, I believe in Jesus name, AMEN.
So now what happens after this prayer? Don’t rush. Let the paper sit in this water for at least 24 hours as it rests so does your surrender. GOD is working even though you do not see it. You may feel lighter, you may receive unexpected news, doors may begin to open or you may simply feel peace and that alone is worth more than gold!
